Hiya! I’m Sam - a NY native and urbanist based in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. My work focuses on the creative intersection between the processes and pressures of urbanization and the culture of urban life in New York: the city that shapes me.

Currently, I am working on issues related to open access, museum tech, and digital archives as the Director of Community and Development at Urban Archive. I hold an M.A. in Urban Affairs and have previously worked with 100cameras, the Queens Historical Society, and Office of Community Studies at Queens College. In each role, I’ve helped organizations build projects and partnerships that emphasize civic engagement through technology, new media, and community.

I love finding friends in strangers and collaborating on people-centric projects that democratize the urban experience. So talk to me on Twitter or find me at Peter Pan’s (eating a sour cream donut!!!) to connect IRL.
